FAQS on Micropigmentation
Microblading, also known as semi-permanent make up, cosmetic tattooing, micropigmentation amoung others is a procedure whereby minute particles of natural and synthetic iron oxide colour pigments are implanted between the skins dermal and epidermal layer using either a manual hand tool or a hand-piece which holds a sterile needle or needle grouping. My work is created with a quality Digital Machine.
The procedure is both safe and medically approved when carried out by a qualified, competent technician.
This is probably better asked, ‘ Who cannot have the treatment? ‘. People of all ages can have this done even if your in your 90’s it’s still ok to want to look your best. Men, woman, people with make up allergies, sufferers of Cancer and Alopecia. Anyone who would like to not have to waste time drawing their eyebrows on in the morning and smudging them off during the day.
It is so nice to perform this treatment and receiving that ” WOW…Oh WOW ” when they see the results. Eyebrows give the face such definition and emphasises your features.
The procedure usually takes 1hr 30mins. The procedure area may be a little pink a bit like after you have had an eyebrow wax but this will subside quite quickly.
Eyebrows will look a little dark when the treatment is first carried out, this will soften by up to 30% during the healing process which will be between 5 and 10 days depending on the individual’s unique recovery rate and by following the ‘post-procedure’ care instructions provided.
An effective topical anaesthetic is applied prior to treatment to reduce any discomfort from the procedure. Most people will feel nothing at all, while a few tend to feel a little discomfort if more sensitive. The specially develped needles are so fine that trauma is at an absolute minimum. The minimal discomfort that a client may experience is definitely outweighed by the stunning results that will be achieved.
You will be provided with post procedure aftercare instructions that must be adheared to for best results.
A balm will be provided to apply for 7-14 days after the procedure.
On the second day after a procedure is performed, a light dryness will form which is only dry to the touch which will fall off in a few days. During this time the pigmented area will look a little darker than your desired shade. However, after the dryness flakes off the colour will lighten by up to 30%.
I have created a video on my Facebook Page of my own eyebrows so I could show the stages of healing day by day. Log into Facebook and visit ‘ Wow Brows Romsey ‘ to view.
The results will appear very natural and your features will look more defined and enhanced. A weight will be lifted knowing your daily routine no longer involves drawing on your eyebrows. Some even feel confident enough not to wear any make up out at all!!
Only your closest friends will recognise your changes but others will never know what the difference is unless you choose to tell them.
When applied correctly they can give the impression of a mini facelift making one appear 10 Years Younger without surgery.
The treatment is long-lasting therefore it is important to do your research and choose your technician wisely. Look for a technician that posts and advertises their own work, including Healed photos. Ask to see a portfolio of their work.
Not if you look at the long-term cost and effects. It doesn’t run or wash off and is a great time-saver. No more wasted money testing new eyebrow cosmetic products that will never give the same natural hairstroke effect your looking to achieve. It’s worth every penny to make the most of your natural beauty. It really is what we’ve all been waiting for.
Another tip, when choosing a Technician if the price is cheap or offer too good to be true it could reflect upon the treatment and products. ”If you pay cheap….you pay twice!!”
If you take Aspirin, blood thinners or anticoagulants a procedure consent form is required from your GP prior to initial treatment.
After treatment it is advised not to give blood for 6 months.
If you have an MRI Scan it is best to inform the radiographer that you have had eyebrow micropigmentation and they will cover them accordingly to prevent shadowing on the scan.
A £60 deposit is required on the consultation and a patch test is performed aswell and must be 48hrs prior to initial treatment.
